OCR PDF
Scanned documents are just pictures of text — you can't search or copy from them. OCR reads the words and adds a searchable text layer, leaving the page looking exactly the same.

Frequently asked questions
What does OCR actually do to my file?
It reads the text in your scanned images and adds an invisible text layer behind them. The page looks identical, but you can now search, select, and copy the words.
Which languages are recognized?
English is recognized today. More languages are coming — tell us which you need most.
What if my PDF already has text?
Pages that already contain real text are left untouched, so mixed documents (part typed, part scanned) work fine.
How accurate is the recognition?
Clean, straight scans read very well. Blurry photos, handwriting, or skewed pages are harder — that's true of every OCR tool.
What happens to my file afterwards?
Your scan and the searchable copy are deleted from our servers automatically within 2 hours. We never read or share your documents.
